My favorite one - Friendship

So I come to the blog after more than a year and find that my favorite poems are not presented here... Will be posting some of my best ones. Below is my favorite one. I wrote it on the occasion of friendship day. And since I am married now, please refrain from asking who it was dedicated to :D

An angel came to me one day,
and asked me what I have to say,
regarding the most beautiful thing created,
one thing that I most highly rated.


The first thing that came to my mind was friendship,
the one thing that can be counted on during all hardship.
It’s one thing that’s closest to a person’s heart,
even if they r away, true friends can never be held apart.


A true friend is the most important treasure to cherish,
without her, it feels that u r going to perish.
U can pour out your heart in front of her,
and she’ll show u the way when everything is blur.


Will u be the person I can count on as a true friend?
I promise to stick by u until the very end.
Will u guard my closest secrets deeply as a precious gift?
and I’ll be there for u whenever u need an uplift.


Will u be my support when shaky I feel?
and I’ll be in between u and troubles like a wall of steel.
Will u be by me when my wounds won’t heal?
and if there’s need I’ll even starve myself to provide u a meal.


Oh please always be my friend, for I can’t stand losing u,
without u, there’s absolutely nothing I can ever do.
Don’t ever dare to utter those words – “good-bye”,
for something u say can cause someone to die.
